Lost Soul
Lost Soul (written by Eric Bogle and sung by Rita and Flo with Bogle’s permission- Eric mentored both girls in the preparation of their music)
Lost Soul was written by Eric Bogle and was dedicated to the Ngarrindjeri Soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice. He swore he'd never write another song about the war again, until he saw a television interview of a young Aboriginal man, Victor Koolmatrie, who performed a Traditional Ngarrindjeri dance at Harelbeke New British Cemetery, Belgium, talking about his Great, Great Uncle Rufus Rigney who lost his life in WW1. Private Rufus Gordon Rigney, Regimental Number, 3872, has become a symbol of all Australian Soldiers.
