20th Century Catastrophe is a song that was inspired from the words of Julie Reece, the Coordinator of the Connecting Spirits project. It describes the war as being not only a victory, but also a catastrophic event in terms of the lives that had been taken. The gigantic monuments such as Menin Gate, Villers-Bretonneux, Thiepval and Tyne Cot Cemetery with the names of thousands upon thousands of missing Soldiers, with no known grave, appear to hide the true devastation of the war.
