Enlistment Details: At the age of 20 years and eight months, Private Pearce enlisted in the 10th Infantry in the Australian Imperial Force on August 28th 1914.

Details about his role in the war: Private Pearce’s times during World War One was only very brief.

Along with thousands of Australian soldiers he was one of the first to step off of the boats and land at Gallipoli.

He was wounded at the Gallipoli Landing and then killed in action between April 25th and April 29th 1915.
